Attestation for the Medicare EHR Incentive Program is now available. In order to receive your Medicare EHR incentive payment, you must attest through CMS' EHR Incentive Program Attestation System.
The Healthland EHR makes the attestation quick and simple by providing all of the data that you need to complete your attestation in a single report.
The Healthland Meaningful Use Statistical Report automatically retrieves and calculates the numerator, denominator, and achievement percentage (or functionality enablement) for all Stage 1 Core Objectives, Menu Objectives and Clinical Quality Measures.

Post-attestation instructions for Critical Access hospitals:
Once your attestation has been “locked for payment” you will need to submit your EHR cost information to your Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC). You do this by contacting the provider audit department at your MAC and notify them that you have submitted your attestation of Meaningful Use and that you are ready to submit supporting documentation for your EHR costs. At this time you will also want to provide your MAC with Medicare Advantage and Charity Care (Worksheet S10) data for your last filed cost report. Providing this data will result in a higher initial payment.
While this process is guided by the HITECH Act regulations, there will be some variability between the MACs in how the process is managed. To help you determine what documentation should be submitted to support your EHR Incentive claim, Healthland has developed a guide based on feedback from Healthland clients that have successfully attested and received their Medicare EHR Incentive payment thus far.
