Hospital officials say new solution will improve quality of care for their patients
MINNEAPOLIS, July 12, 2012 – Healthland, America's market leader of healthcare information technology solutions for rural hospitals, today announced that Hacienda HealthCare has purchased Healthland Centriq®, a complete Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution. Hacienda HealthCare consists of a 15-bed hospital and long-term care facility in Phoenix, Ariz. Hacienda HealthCare is the leading provider of specialized services for medically fragile and chronically ill infants, children and young adults in Arizona. The healthcare provider offers: 24-hour nursing and respiratory care; physical, occupational and speech therapy programs; and social and dietary services. Hospital officials say they selected the Healthland solution for its single database and complete integration capabilities.
“As we began our search for an EHR provider, we knew we needed a completely integrated solution,” said Kevin Payne, Hacienda HealthCare Information Technology Director. “Healthland gave us the option of combining many products into one, single EHR solution that could be used across our facilities. That was absolutely crucial for us. Now, we can offer our physicians access to all clinical data for their patients, wherever they are seen.”
“Integration is an important issue for many hospitals,” said Tom Ziel, Healthland Senior Vice President of Sales. “As technology needs have grown, many healthcare providers were forced to buy multiple software solutions to meet their operational requirements. By choosing Healthland Centriq, Hacienda HealthCare will now benefit from one complete EHR solution that will manage patient records across the continuum of care.”
Healthland Centriq is intuitive and easy to use, promoting clinician adoption – critical to achieve Meaningful Use. The solution also provides a superior user experience to help hospitals deliver safe, quality healthcare, and improve patient satisfaction. Hacienda Healthcare is currently implementing the solution and expects to be live in the coming months.
Healthland relies on the input of clinicians throughout its product development process. As a result, the Healthland EHR solution provides a simple user interface that reduces training time, which is essential for hospitals with limited staff and resources.
