Dairyland Names Senior Leadership Team
On the heels of naming its new CEO, James F. Burgess, Dairyland Healthcare Solutions today said that it has completed appointments of its senior leadership team.
The company has named four senior executives to head key corporate functions: finance, operations, market development and sales. Collectively, they have extensive experience in Healthcare IT and a track-record of delivering solid growth. At DHS, the team will focus on their flagship partnerships with America’s rural community and specialty hospitals with a goal of providing enhanced IT solutions for their increasingly complex information management needs. “We have an exceptional team in place to help improve community and specialty hospitals use of information to deliver the highest quality patient care,” Burgess said. “Each team member has deep experience in critical areas including healthcare and technology and in creating and executing effective customer-centric strategies.”
The appointments, which are effective immediately, include Kevin Fahey as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer; Paul O’Toole as Senior Vice President of Operations; Angela Franks as Senior Vice President of Market Development and Mark Middendorf as Senior Vice President of Sales.
Fahey comes to Dairyland from Premise Corporation, a healthcare solutions company that facilitates patient flow for hospitals in the U.S. and Asia. He brings a decade of solid financial and management experience at fast-growth start-up companies and at a number of large public accounting firms, including KPMG Peat Marwick. During Fahey's career he has successfully raised over $80 million in Venture Capital financing and managed over a dozen international and domestic acquisitions.
At Dairyland, O’Toole is responsible for software development, services delivery and client support. He joined the company from Mediware Information Systems, where he led the surgery management software division. O’Toole brings 19 years of management experience to his new role, including leadership positions in healthcare technology and with 3M where he was a Six Sigma Black Belt and IBM where he managed system deployments for the company’s Fortune 500 customers.
Franks leads market development for Dairyland, which includes product management, marketing and communications, business development and pre-sales support. Prior to joining Dairyland, Franks spent 7 years at Lawson Software where she led market development for Lawson’s $150 million healthcare business unit and had primary responsibility for marketing integration during the $450 million acquisition of Intentia. During her 19 year healthcare career, Franks also has worked for hospital systems and a number of market leading healthcare technology companies.
Middendorf, who has been with Dairyland for 25 years, will continue in his sales leadership role at the company. He directs all sales strategies for the company, including new sales and account management and played a major role in Dairyland’s tremendous growth over the last 5 years. Prior to his appointment as Senior Vice President of Sales, Mark served in a number of capacities during his Dairyland career including Vice President of Operations, Director of Product Development and Regional Sales Manager.
